Policy

Corrections policy

We do not delete errors quietly. When a mistake is found, the page is updated and the correction is logged in the page footer.

When we discover an error, we do not delete it quietly. The page is updated, and a short note in the page footer records what was corrected and when. If a hadith citation turns out to be misattributed, the citation is removed from the live page and the ledger entry is updated with the new grading or a Da'if label. If an English translation drifts from the Arabic source, we restore the literal reading. We treat the public reference ledger as the ledger of record.

If you spot an error, please save the URL and the specific phrase you are questioning, and wait for the public contact channel to open after scholar review is complete. Until then, the absence of a contact form is itself part of the policy: we do not want to act on rumour, only on verified primary-source evidence.
